Police Looking for Witnesses Following Fraternity Assault
Police in State College are asking witnesses to come forward and give investigators details about an alleged assault at a Penn State fraternity.
The incident happened early Sunday morning at the Pi Lambda Phi fraternity, 321 Fraternity Row.
Police say the victim was trying to help a female friend who was being pushed by another man. That man reportedly punched the victim in the face and knocked him unconscious. The attack took place around 12:30 a.m. near a second floor restroom.
The unidentified victim was hospitalized according to police. There is no word on his condition.
Police say the suspect is around 6'2" with a medium build. He has blonde hair -- possibly a buzz cut-- and was wearing a collared shirt. The man may have been heard saying that he had just turned 21-years-old.
