A man celebrating his 21st birthday was found passed out behind the wheel early Monday in College Township, State College police said.

It happened around 3 a.m. at Transfer Road and East College Avenue, according to a police report. Police said the man's vehicle, in gear and idling, was stopped in the intersection while he slept in the driver's seat.

A DUI charge against the man is pending, according to the police report. His blood-alcohol level was recorded at 0.206. The threshold for DUI in Pennsylvania is 0.08.

Because he had yet to be charged formally, the man's name was not immediately released.
