Police: Man Steals Cell Phone While Pushing Baby Stroller

Ferguson Township police are searching for a man they believe stole a woman's cell phone while pushing a baby stroller with a young child.

The incident happened between 2:30 and 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Giant Food Store on North Atherton Street.

Police say the victim placed her cell phone on the cash register and an unknown male took the phone.

Police described the suspect as a white male in his mid-20s, roughly 5-feet 10-inches tall, short light brown hair and a light beard, and tattoos on both of his arms from his wrist to his elbows. He reportedly got into a light blue minivan.

Anyone who observed the crime or has any related information can call the Ferguson Township Police at 814-237-1172. Crimestoppers pays rewards of up to $1,000 if the information leads to an arrest and conviction.
