Two parked cars were damaged Tuesday in a hit-and-run crash in the Westerly Parkway Plaza parking lot, State College police said Wednesday.
It happened about 3:30 p.m., according to a police report.
A vehicle described as a black or dark-silver Honda sedan hit the parked cars, leaving behind a large portion of its bumper, police said.
The driver was described as a young, white male with curly hair, according to the report. He was said to have been wearing a striped sweatshirt.
No injuries were reported, and no towing was required, police said. They're asking anyone with information to give them a call; the number is (814) 234-7150.
Also Wednesday, police said items were taken late Sunday or early Monday from four cars parked along Irvin Avenue. The thefts were reported from the 200 block of East Irvin to the 100 block of West Irvin.
Swiped items include small change, shoes and an overcoat, according to a police report. At least some of the vehicles' owners are confident they had locked their cars that night, police said.
