Police have now released an image taken from surveillance video, that investigators believe is linked to a vicious street fight that sent one man to the hospital.

And they're releasing updated details about what happened.

The altercation took place in the middle of South Garner Street early Sunday morning, just after 3 a.m.

According to the State College Police Department, two men began fighting and one of them was knocked down onto the pavement.

That's when a third man showed up. He reportedly walked up behind the standing man, punched him in the face and knocked him unconscious.

Officers called to the scene found the victim bleeding from his face. He was taken to the Mount Nittany Medical Center for treatment of what are described as "facial fractures."

There's still no word on the injured man's condition.

According to police, witnesses describe man who delivered the knock-out punch as white with a red beard and glasses. He was dressed in a dark blue shirt, blue jeans and was wearing a black baseball cap on his head backwards.

Police say he and the other man left the scene in a pick-up truck which you can see in that surveillance image.

Witnesses initially described the vehicle as a Ford F-150. Police now say the two men got into a two-toned dark colored Chevrolet Z71 extended cab pick-up truck with a Tonneau cover that was parked on Heister Street.

The pick-up truck was last seen heading west on East College Avenue.
