Police Search for Hit-and-Run Accident in Patton Township

A pedestrian was taken to Mount Nittany Medical Centre Thursday morning following a hit-and-run accident on Vairo Boulevard in Patton Township.

Police say the unidentified victim suffered a leg injury as well as other unspecified minor injuries.

The incident happened around 8:30 a.m. near the Penn Wood North Apartments. There is a sharp curve at that location.

Investigators say a dark blue four-door vehicle hit the pedestrian and continued on toward North Atherton Street. The make and model of the car is unknown.
