Prosecution: 8 Alleged Sandusky Victims Suffered Abuse on PSU Campus
State prosecutors have issued a court filing outlining the locations of alleged sexual abuse by Jerry Sandusky and the ages — at least those they were able to confirm — of the alleged victims.
Eight of the 10 alleged victims were abused on Penn State property, according to the prosecution. Five of the victims allegedly were abused in the Lasch Football Building. One of the victims also suffered abuse outside of Pennsylvania, prosecutors have alleged.
In some cases, the prosecution stated it was not able to provide exact times and dates of alleged offenses because they occurred over a prolonged period of time, and the alleged victims, children at the time, could not provide specific details.
Sandusky, 68, maintains he is innocent after being charged with more than 50 criminal counts in a child-sexual-abuse case.
On Wednesday, Judge John M. Cleland, who is presiding over the Sandusky case, refused a defense request for a mid-July trial. Jury selection is scheduled to start May 14.
