PSU Football Traffic Delays Possible in Huntingdon County, PennDOT Says
by on September 03, 2010 12:09 PM

Penn State football traffic in Huntingdon County may see some delays this weekend, the state Department of Transportation has warned.

Glenn O. Hawbaker Inc. is working to replace two bridges on state Route 26 in McAlevys Fort. To accommodate the work, according to PennDOT, traffic is reduced to one lane in that area.

Drivers taking Route 26 to the Saturday football game in State College should allow extra time in their travel plans or take an alternate route, PennDOT advised. The advisory notes that temporary traffic signals are in place at the construction sites.

A worker will be present to run those signals manually and help to smooth the traffic flow, according to the advisory.

Construction -- and lane reductions -- are expected to continue there through November, PennDOT reported.
