Scott Trial Delayed

According to the Daily Collegian, Austin Scott's trial has been "stayed" indefinitely by the state Superior Court.  The trial was to begin yesterday but a stay was issued in response to a request by Scott's attorney to hold an emergency hearing yesterday.

The new date of the trial remains unclear.  Jurors were questioned about their availability for the remainder of this week and next week, suggesting a possible time frame for the trial.

Scott's lawyer, John Karoly, had hoped to have the trial completed before the April 26th NFL draft.  Scott is hoping to be drafted by a team in order to continue his football career.  (Read More)
