The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for the State College area.

According to the weather service doppler radar shows some weak rotation within the storm. While not immediately likely, a tornado may still develop. If a tornado is spotted you should take quick action. Move to a place of safety, either a basement or a small interior room on the lowest floor of your home.

Also, a Flood Warning for urban areas and small streams is posted for central Centre County.

Today's rainfall has been heavy enough to produce flooding. The flood warning will remain in effect until 7:45 p.m. Thursday.

Be careful if you are driving and be sure not to cross roads that are covered by water.
