Sexual Assault Case Ordered To Trial

Even though more than 1,000 charges against him were withdrawn, Roy Chamberlin, a Centre Hall resident, is still expected to stand trial on numerous counts of sexual assault.
According to a report in the Centre Daily Times, the alleged victim has claimed that Chamberlin terrorized her over a 13-month period. State police officers, based on the woman's testimony, estimated that Chamberlin raped the woman 183 times.
Chamberlin was already in the Centre County Correctional Facility on charges that he twice attempted to set a Centre Hall mobile home on fire. (More info)
