Significant Snowfall Expected This Weekend, Winter Storm Watch Posted
It's time to gas up the snow blower and stock up on ice melt, bread and milk -- again.
The official start of winter may be nine days away, but that hasn't stopped another winter storm from heading this way.
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for State College, Centre County and a broad swath of central Pennsylvania.
The forecast calls for several inches of snow to fall, beginning early Saturday morning, around dawn.
Accumulations of five to eight inches of snow are expected before the storm peters out late Saturday night.
Temperatures will range from the low to middle 20s. Winds could gust up to 20 mph.
A Winter Storm Watch means there is the potential for significant snow, sleet or ice that could impact travel.
