Snow, Possibly Rain, and Milder Weather in State College Forecast
Look at it this way, snow can be romantic.
As lovebirds are wining and dining their mates Friday night for Valentine's Day, the 1 to 3 inches of snow could potentially create a natural, romantic setting.
Chances are lovers will only see snowfall at the end of their evening. AccuWeather Meteorologist Tom Kines says snow likely won't start in the State College area until around midnight.
But bundle up before hitting the town as the low for Friday night will be in the lower 20s.
Snow is expected to end no later than lunchtime on Saturday. The high will be near 30 and sun is expected Saturday afternoon, though it will be blustery.
For Sunday, some flurries or a period of steadier snow is possible. Highs will be in the mid 20s with a low around 10.
Another storm is expected for the early part of next week, which could bring snow or snow changing to rain.
The storm will be followed by at least a couple of days of milder weather with temperatures reaching the 40s.
"If everything went our way, and so far this winter it hasn't, but if it does, there might be a day that gets up to 50s," Kines says.
