Penn State students will return to classes on Aug. 26, but those who live off-campus are already starting to move back in.

To help alleviate traffic congestion that comes with student move-in and an influx of vehicles, State College Borough is implementing a few temporary traffic changes over the next two weeks.

- Now through Sunday, Aug. 25, East Calder Way will be posted one-way westbound from Hetzel Street to South Garner Street and one-way eastbound from Hetzel Street to High Street.

- On Tuesday, Aug. 13, Hetzel Street will be posted one-way northbound from East Beaver Avenue to East Calder Way.

- Thursday, Aug. 15 through Friday, Aug. 16, the left-hand lane of West College Avenue between South Atherton Street and South Barnard Street will be closed and become a parking lane..

- Thursday, Aug. 22, through Saturday, Aug. 24, the right-hand lane of East College Avenue between University Drive and High Street will be closed and become a parking lane.

Maps outlining the changes can be viewed here and here.
