State College Police: Few New Details Emerge, Missing Student Last Seen in West Virginia

State College Police still are trying to track down missing Penn State student Jesse McMillen, a 21-year-old white male, who is 5 feet 7 inches and 180 pounds and wears glasses.

He was last seen carrying a dark colored backpack with many pins affixed to it.

The last sighting of McMillen was in Bridgeport, W.Va., at exit 124 of I-79 sometime around 4:45 p.m. Monday. He was carrying a cardboard sign.

Anyone who has seen McMillen is asked to contact the closest Police Department or the State Police.

McMillen has been entered in the nationwide computer database as a missing person.

As the State College Police continue searching for missing Penn State student Jesse McMillen, they have discovered he was on his way to Pittsburgh but never seen there.

Police said the investigation revealed McMillen stayed at the Red Carpet Inn in Ebensburg, Pa. on Thursday and checked out Friday.  When he left the motel Friday morning, McMillen told the desk clerk he was hitchhiking to see a friend in Pittsburgh.

The friend in Pittsburgh has been identified. However, McMillen has not been seen.

State College Police are searching for Jesse McMillen, who was reported missing two days ago.

McMillen was reported missing by his roommate on Saturday, police said.

He is a 21-year-old white male and is 5 feet 7 and 180 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes and wears glasses.

McMillen was looking for a place to rent and was supposed to have looked at a camping trailer somewhere in the Bellefonte area late last week, police said. The trailer was to have been owned by a woman named Nan.

He found the trailer through a Craigslist ad, police said.

Anyone with any knowledge of McMillen's whereabouts is asked to contact the State College Police Department at (814) 234-7150.
