State College Police Searching for Clues After Man Found Unconscious
State College police are searching for clues after a man was found unconscious on the ground early Friday morning.
Police say the victim was reportedly punched by an unknown male, fell to the ground and was later found unconscious.
Someone discovered the victim about 2 a.m. in the 500 block of South Allen Street.
The victim was transported to Mount Nittany Medical Center where doctors discovered the victim suffered from a fractured skull.
The victim was then transferred to the Penn State Hershey Medical Center.
Mount Nittany Medical Center reported the incident to police.

Police said Saturday that the man has been released from the hospital and confirmed he had since been to the station to discuss the investigation with police. The investigation is on-going, with no new details available.
