A traffic citation stemming from a two-car crash has been filed against a State College police sergeant, borough police reported Monday afternoon.

Specifically, Sgt. William Muse has been cited for stop-sign violation in connection with the Sept. 2 crash, according to a news release.

The wreck happened about 1:15 a.m. Sept. 2, when a municipal police SUV driven by Muse collided with a compact car at Locust Lane and East Foster Avenue, according to prior reports.

Police said Monday that a crash investigation into the incident is now complete. But a related internal-affairs investigation -- involving personnel matters -- is ongoing, according to the news release.
