Movies

In "The Devil Inside," a woman becomes involved in a series of unauthorized exorcisms during a mission to discover what happened to her mother. This movie is showing at the UEC 12 Theater.

In "We Bought a Zoo," a father moves his young family to the countryside to invigorate a struggling zoo. This movie is playing at the College 9 Theatre and the UEC 12 Theater.

In "Melancholia," two sisters find their already-strained relationship is challenged again as a new planet threatens to collide with Earth. This film is showing at the State Theatre.

Bars and Clubs

The Autoport will have happy hour from 5 to 7 p.m.

At Bar Bleu , happy hour will run from 9 to 11 p.m.

And at the Gingerbread Man, DJ Boner will entertain starting at 10 p.m.

Community Events and Performing Arts 

 Biscuit Jam is scheduled to play the the Red Horse Tavern in Pleasant Gap at 9 p.m.

Sports

The Penn State women's ice-hockey team will play Rhode Island at 7 p.m. at the Greenberg complex.

Saturday, Jan. 7

Community Events and Performing Arts

A session on the fundamentals of cross-country skiing is set for 3 p.m. at Bald Eagle State Park. 

A production of "A Year with Frog and Toad" is scheduled for 7 p.m. at State High. The production will be performed at 2 p.m. Sunday, as well. 

Sports

The Penn State women's basketball team will take on Michigan State at 2 p.m. at the Bryce Jordan Center.

Sunday, Jan. 8

Sports

The Penn State men's basketball team will face Indiana at noon at the Bryce Jordan Center.
