State High Football Ready for Playoffs

by on November 08, 2019 11:20 AM

State College football closed out a strong regular season with a comeback win over Cumberland Valley on Oct. 26 in Beaver Stadium to finish with a 9-1 record.

Now that the playoffs are here, Coach Matt Lintal knows it's no time for the Little Lions to take their foot off the gas.

"Our goal is to get better every week. That's been the goal from the get-go, and I think we've done that," Lintal said. "We try to build our program that we peak at the right time, and this is the time to peak."

After a week off, State College travels to Erie on Friday night to face McDowell in the District 6/8/9/10 regionals.

Centre County Report's Dylan Huberman has more from Lintal and quarterback Brady Dorner.
