Student Fights Streaking Charges

Elizabeth Burke, along with five other Penn State students, was charged last month with open lewdness and disorderly conduct for running naked down Mifflin Road on May 5th as part of the traditional, end of semester "Mifflin Streak."

According to the Daily Collegian, Burke has hired an attorney and is contesting the charge of open lewdness.  Burke argues she did not cause others to be "alarmed and affronted" as the open lewdness law requires since the people who saw her streaking had stood along Mifflin Road with the intent of watching the streak.  (Read More)
