Sue Paterno Endorses Two Penn State Board of Trustees Candidates
Sue Paterno has announced her endorsement for two alumni candidates for Penn State Board of Trustees.
Paterno, the wife of the late Penn State head football coach Joe Paterno, has endorsed Rudolph Karl Glocker and Albert L. Lord.
Lord is the former CEO of Sallie Mae. Glocker is currently a Managing Partner at Pediped Footwear.
"I have known Al and Rudy for years. They are great Penn Staters and will do an outstanding job as Trustees. We have discussed Penn State's critical issues during this campaign and these gentlemen understand well the needs of our beloved alma mater. I endorse both candidacies without reservation and look forward to the changes they can make on the Board. I ask all voters to review their credentials and vote for Al and Rudy," Sue Paterno said in a prepared statement.
A contentious issue during the trustee election process is how the board handled the termination of Joe Paterno in the aftermath of the child sexual abuse scandal at the hands of former Penn State football coach Jerry Sandusky, who is now a convicted pedophile.
Voting began today for the board vacancies. Voting closes May 8.
There are 31 candidates on the ballot to fill three seats on the board. Learn about all 31 candidates HERE.
