Take Note: Government Closings, Trash Pick-Up Delays

State College Borough

Due to the Christmas holiday there will be no trash or recycling collection for State College Borough residents on Wednesday, Dec. 25. Trash and recycling normally scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday will be delayed one day, with Wednesday's customers collected on Thursday, Dec. 26, and Thursday's customers collected on Friday, Dec. 27.

Bulk and brush collection will not be collected the week of Dec. 23. The next scheduled bulk and brush collection will be on Jan. 6.

College Township

Township offices will be closed Wednesday, Dec. 25 and Thursday, Dec. 26 for the Christmas holiday. Offices will reopen at 8 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 27.

Ferguson Township

Township offices are closed at noon on Tuesday, Dec. 24 and all day Wednesday, Dec. 25. Also offices are closed at noon on Tuesday, Dec. 31 and all day Wednesday, Jan. 1.

Harris Township

The township office will close at noon on Dec. 24. Normal business hours will resume at 8 a.m. on Dec. 27. The township office will also be closed on Jan. 1.

Trash and recycling collection will be delayed by one day due to the Christmas and New Year's holidays. Trash and recycling will be collected on Thursday, Dec. 26 and Thursday, Jan. 2.

Patton Township

The township will not collect trash or recycling on Christmas and New Year's Day.

Trash and Recycling collection will be delayed by one day for customers whose service day falls on or after the holiday for the last 2 weeks of the year. Normal Friday customers will have trash and recycling collected on Saturday.

Regular collection schedules will resume the week of Jan. 6.

Centre County

Centre County government offices will be closed Tuesday, Dec. 24 and Wednesday, Dec. 25 for Christmas. The offices will also be closed Wednesday, Jan. 1 for New Year's Day.


PennDOT Driver's License and Photo Centers will ve closed Wednesday, Dec. 25 and Wednesday, Jan. 1.
