TGIF: State College Weekend Events for Nov. 10-12

by on November 10, 2017 5:00 AM

Happy Friday, Happy Valley!

And happy Penn State Homecoming. The parade marches through campus and town on Friday night, followed by a special, festival-like Guard the Lion Shrine. Saturday brings the Homecoming and Military Appreciation game against Rutgers.

With Veterans Day on Saturday, events this weekend will honor those who have served the nation.

Plus, Keller Williams makes a stop at The State Theatre, and there are craft -- and craft beverage -- festivals throughout the weekend. In sports, Penn State basketball, wrestling and volleyball are at home, and the Nittany Lion women's soccer team opens the NCAA Tournament at Jeffrey Field.

We've compiled a few of the highlights from each day.

This isn't all that's happening, either. There is plenty more around the area for you to enjoy and you can find it all on our calendar page. Explore the weekend's events and add your own if it isn't listed. Or see our Bar Tour and Movies pages for more options this weekend or anytime.
