The Barn at Lemont to Celebrate First Anniversary

no description

It has been busy a year for the Barn at Lemont, and its owners are taking time to celebrate and show loyal customers they are appreciated.

On Saturday, ‘The Barn” will hold a customer appreciation day to celebrate its one-year anniversary. During the event, starting at 11 a.m., samples of its many local products will be available. The event will have a nice laid-back atmosphere where people can relax and enjoy themselves, said co-owner Jessica Moist.

“We are kind of like the hippy Walmart. We started with the gardening supplies and the home-brew equipment. Now we have a large group of local vendors who have these great natural products,” said Moist. “Saturday is our day to give something back for our customers, and show people what we have to offer.’

The local crafts and foods that are offered at the site have expanded through the year, and Moist said they hope to keep growing.

Keeping with the local theme, the space will have music by local musician Eric Ian Farmer during the event from 3 to 5 p.m.

“You can also enjoy samples from Maine Bay and Berry Seafood Co., Soggy Fleece Pork, as well as from Creekside Hearth and Patio as they demo their incredible smokers and answer all your questions about Jotul stoves. Big Froggy music will be broadcasting from the Barn all day long, and fun door prizes will be given away,” said Moist. “It should be a really fun day.”
