This is December? Record Highs and Rain in Forecast

This weekend the State College area could meet or break the record high temperature, according to AccuWeather Meteorologist Dave Dombek.

The record high temperature for Sunday is 60 degrees. It was set in 1990.

"We will be challenging that record here on Sunday. We could tie it; we might break it," Dombek says.

Temperatures will creep up into the mid-40s on Friday. Saturday will be warm, with a high around 50.

he warmer temperatures will be accompanied with rain starting Friday. There will be rain at times Friday afternoon and Friday night and likely a couple of showers on Saturday.

The next best chance of significant wet weather will come on Sunday.

"Even though it will be very mild, down right balmy, we will be getting rain throughout the course of the day into Sunday night," Dombek says.
