Penn State's 36th Interfraternity Council/Panhellenic Dance Marathon concluded Sunday with the announcement of a new fundraising record.
The Daily Collegian is reporting that this year's THON raised $6,615,318, surpassing last year's record by nearly $1.4 million. The total was announced shortly after 708 dancers sat down for the first time in 46 hours.
The funds raised by THON go to the Four Diamonds Fund, which helps families pay for costs associated with cancer treatment at the Hershey Medical Center. (More info) |
