TMZ Posts Jerry Sandusky’s Letters From Prison

no description

The celebrity news website TMZ has posted two letters, purportedly written by convicted child rapist Jerry Sandusky.

In the letter’s Sandusky says he’s having a “very challenging” time in prison. “I’ve been quite confined, always searching for purpose. For now my main purpose is to endure, learn from and grow from this experience. … My plan is to continue this battle until the last whistle.”

TMZ reports that Sandusky has been communicating with a number of pen pals. Explaining how he spends his days, Sandusky says, “I exercise, read, meditate and do a lot of writing.”

In the letters — one written in May, the other in June — Sandusky says, “I’m doing alright – up and down; battling hard. An appeal is in process, but I don’t know what to think. I would feel better if we could reveal all the information and unfairness.”

There is no mention of child sex abuse but Sandusky writes cryptically that, “I’m trying to get better.”

Sandusky is serving a 30-60 year prison sentence for his sex crimes. He is in a maximum-security prison and spends 23 hours a day in solitary confinement.
