Bellefonte native Anthony Torsell was convicted in September of driving drunk when he struck two pedestrians. Monday, Centre County President Judge Thomas Kistler denied Torsell's request for a new trial.
According to a Centre Daily Times report, Judge Kistler said he found no evidence of contact between jurors and Aaron Stidd, one of the men struck by Torsell's vehicle.
Torsell is serving 20-40 months in state prison for injuries suffered by Stidd and four to eight years in prison for killing Rick Smith. (More info) |
