Two Charged With Assaulting Police Officers Waive Hearing
Two people who were charged with resisting arrest and assaulting police officers in September will head to trial.
On Sept. 14, police responded to a domestic disturbance in Boalsburg. When police arrived they heard a woman yelling, "help me." Officers say they went into the house and saw David Knepp laying on a couch unresponsive.
That's when a woman identified as Crystal Metheny came into the room and demanded the officers leave, according to court documents. Knepp eventually got up and began fighting with the officers.
In court this morning, Metheny and Knepp both waived their preliminary hearings.
Their case will now head to the Centre County Court of Common Pleas.
Both have been released on intense supervised bail.
