Two Of Four Sentenced In Cocaine Beating

Two of four defendants charged with robbing, torturing, and assaulting a local resident over the disappearance of a gallon bag of cocaine were sentenced to state prison in Clinton County court earlier this week.

According to the Lock Haven Express, Adam Reed, 21, of Bethlehem, and Christian S. Pates, 21, of Clearfield, both faced a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison and a $25,000 fine on the robberty charge and five years and a $10,000 fine on the theft charge.

Reed was sentenced to serve 12 to 60 months in a state correctional institution.  Pates was sentenced to 12 to 84 months.

Reed was also sentenced in connection with a break-in at the home of Kelsey Cashner, 57 1/2 Bellefonte Avenue on November 5th.  Police said Reed and others broke into the apartment, knocked over items, threw items around, kicked a stove, turned over a refrigerator, and damaged ceiling tiles, causing $4,605 worth of damage to the T&C Properties' apartment.  (Read More)
