UPDATE: WTAJ Transmitting Again after Earlier Equipment Failure

UPDATE @ 8:54 a.m. Jan. 19: WTAJ is now transmitting again, at least via local cable systems. The station has posted online links to a couple programs that viewers may have missed during its outage on Wednesday evening.

A technical problem kicked Altoona-based WTAJ TV (Comcast channel 10) off the air Wednesday, the television station reported on its website.

It referred to the problem as an equipment failure.

"We are working to get the equipment repaired, but we don't have an estimate as to how soon that will be," the online news item reads. "We apologize for the situation and appreciate your patience."

The CBS affiliate remained off the air shortly before midnight Wednesday night.
