UPDATED: Stolen Handguns Recovered, Returned to Owner in State College
UPDATED @ 1:38 p.m. Tuesday: The two handguns reported stolen Sunday from a Pugh Street apartment have been recovered and returned to their owner, State College police announced Tuesday.
Police will release the name of the suspect in the burglary when criminal charges are filed, according to a news release.

Two handguns were reported stolen early Sunday morning from a South Pugh Street apartment, State College police said.
The theft was reported at 2:03 a.m., though the guns are thought to have been taken sometime between 3 p.m. and 10 p.m. Saturday, according to a police report.
Police said it happened on the 700 block. Someone there entered the first-floor residence through a window to commit the burglary, the police report shows. The break-in remains under investigation.
Among other incidents logged by borough police over the weekend:
- Someone punched out a window at the Allen Street Grill, at South Allen Street and East College Avenue, about 1:15 a.m. Sunday, police said. The person responsible had just been in an argument with an ex-girlfriend, a police report shows. Police said he will be cited after the value of the damage is calculated.
- A sign posted outside the residence at 523 S. Atherton St. read: "Thank you for your daughters," according to a police report. A passer-by upset by the sign complained to borough police, who talked to a resident there Saturday evening, police said. The resident agreed to take the sign down, the police report shows.
