Warner Boulevard Detours to Be Lifted Next Week

by on May 20, 2016 12:00 PM

The road closures and detours resulting from work on Warner Boulevard near Boalsburg will be lifted next week, according to PennDOT.

The closure of Warner Boulevard from the intersection at Mary Elizabeth Street and Brandywine Drive to the Route 322 interchange is expected to be lifted late on May 24 or early on May 25, depending on weather and work progress.

Detours are currently in place at the Oak Hall exit of Route 322 East and for access to Route 45 East. Those detours will be lifted next week. Bicycle detours will remain in place for safety reasons through the duration of the project, which is expected to end in early October.

The project will rehabilitate the roadway and address bicycle and pedestrian needs. Work will include road restoration and improvements to the intersection at Mary Elizabeth Street and Brandywine Drive, as well as construction of an asphalt walkway and designated bike lane from South Atherton Street to Linden Hall Road. The speed limit on Warner Boulevard is reduced to 35 miles per hour during the project.
