Well, July was a busy month. Why not kick back and enjoy the last weekend of the month with all that State College has to offer?

Friday, July 27

My Hero Zero will perform at 10:30 p.m. at Cafe 210 West. 

Rotelli's Friday night drink specialsinclude $2 Blue Moon Drafts all day, $2 Miller Lite Drafts, $3 Pinnacle Drinks, $2.50 Micros from 9-11 p.m.

Bike or walk to one of these local parks to catch an outdoor movie shown on an inflatable screen. Tudek Park will show "Bedtime Stories" at 8:45 p.m. This is the rain date for the even originally scheduled for last week.


In The Watch, suburban dads form a neighborhood watch group as a way to get out of their day-to-day family routines find themselves defending the Earth from an alien invasion. Check movie listings and times here.

In Step Up Revolution, the fourth installment of the "Step Up" series, Emily arrives in Miami with aspirations to become a professional dancer. She sparks with Sean, the leader of a dance crew whose neighborhood is threatened by Emily's father's development plans. Check movie showtimes and theatre listings here.

Saturday, July 28

Kids Concert: Head out to Millbrook Marsh Nature Center for a fun afternoon of music, dancing and singing with Musical Performer, Denny Hayes this Saturday, July 28th! The festivities start at 2:00 p.m. $5 per child will be collected at the door. Adults and children under 2 are free! Bring a chair or a blanket and your dancing shoes! The British Invasion: Join The State Theatre and The Bestwick Foundation for a joint fundraiser! Hear the best local bands playing the best covers from some of the greatest bands and artists from across the pond!

VIP Brit’s Reception from 5-6:30p at Indigo Nite Club and includes food and drink. Concert to begin at 7pm. Set to appear: Ted and the Hi-Fi’s, Screaming Ducks, Pure Cane Sugar, Jason McIntyre & Junior Tutwiler, Tommy Wareham, Miss Melanie & The Valley Rats, Vick Rizzo, Ginger Woolridge, and Harold Taddy. Don’t miss an incredibly fun evening and a trip down memory lane … all to raise some funds for two great organizations.

Sunday, July 29

Celebrate the Olympic Games! "The Three Londons: Penn Staters at the Olympics" Exhibit traces the history of Penn State athletes' efforts and achievements at the 1908, 1948, and 2012 Olympics Games which were all held in London. The exhibit includes athlete profiles as well as memorabilia from each of the three Games.
