Friday, Oct. 4
After an accident on their ship, an astronaut and an engineer are left adrift in space, trying to survive in "Gravity." The movie is playing at College 9 Theatre and UEC 12 Theatre.
Bars and Clubs
At Zenos, the AAA Blues Band will perform at 7 p.m. and Spider Kelly will perform at 10:30 p.m.
At the Phyrst, Dominic and Noah will perform at 7:30 p.m. and Ted and the Hi-Fi's will perform at 10:30 p.m. Coors Light drafts will be $1 until midnight and from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m., everything is half-price.
At Indigo, DJ Keigo and Nammo will be on stage, and cover is free until 10 p.m.
Saturday, Oct. 5
Downtown State College will celebrate the coming of autumn with its annual Fall Festival this weekend. While there will pumpkin decorating, pony rides and a rock wall for kids, Bradley's Cheesesteaks is holding a cheesesteak eating contest. Other events include a painting contest and a dessert making contest. The event starts at 10 a.m. Saturday and will be held on Allen Street.
Sunday, Oct. 6
Set in the Civil Rights movement 1960's, the play "No Place to Be Somebody" follows a black bartender matching wits with a white gangster in this Pulitzer Prize winner. The play starts at 7:30 p.m. in the Pavilion Theatre on campus.
