Friday, Oct. 5
The Ale House plays host to Tommy Wareham from 6-8 p.m. and 9 p.m. - midnight
Kildare's Friday drink specials include $3 Stella Artois (all day) and half-priced happies (10 p.m. - 12 a.m.)
Kicking off the Halloween season, Frankenweenie opens in 2D and 3D this weekend. Young Victor conducts a science experiment to bring his beloved dog Sparky back to life, only to face unintended, sometimes monstrous, consequences.

Saturday, Oct. 6
The First Annual Black Moshannon Monster Hunt will start at 1 p.m. in Phillipsburg.
The First Annual Black Moshannon Monster Hunt is an advenuture scavenger race, where the proceeds benefit someone that lives locally. This year the proceeds will go to Michael McCloskey, who is in need of a bone marrow transplant due to leukemia. The race includes a 10 mile run or mountain bike or a five mile run, mountain bike, or hike. Each race consists of going to a station, getting a clue, and trying to figure out where the next station will be. It is all Halloween based. There will be a chance to shoot a bow and arrow or kayak, and participate in an obstacle course.
The early bird registration is $20 and includes a t-shirt. Day of registration is $25 and a t-shirt cannot be guarenteed. To receive a brochure and registration form, sign up online, call the park office at (814) 342-5960, or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
