WPSU will air a special interactive program Thursday to focus on child sexual abuse, Penn State Public Broadcasting announced.
Patty Satalia will host the hour-long program, "Confronting Child Sexual Abuse," scheduled to begin at 9 p.m. It's set to appear on WPSU television (Channel 3), WPSU radio (91.5 FM in State College), WPSU online (http://wpsu.org/live) and the Pennsylvania Cable Network.
According to a news release, the program will feature a panel of experts. They'll address subjects such as prevention and recognition of child sexual abuse, and the resources available to help victims, according to the release.
Viewers and listeners may join the on-air conversation by calling (800) 543-8242, WPSU reported. In addition, volunteers with the Centre County Women's Resource Center will be available to talk one-on-one with parents -- and others -- about immediate concerns.
Callers who want to reach those volunteers may call the same number during the program.
