Penn State filled its 2013 recruiting class Monday morning as 6-foot, 170-pound point guard Graham Woodward verbally committed to the Nittany Lions.

The announcement was made via Woodward's Twitter page. Woodward, from Edina, Minn., held offers from more than 10 schools, including Gonzaga, Washington State, Dayton, Drake and Vermont.

For the Nittany Lions, Woodward is the fourth verbal commitment in the 2013 class, filling all available scholarships at this time. Woodward's commitment comes only days after D.C. small forward Josh Hart committed to Villanova over Penn State and Rutgers.

Woodward will join Shaler, Pa., guard Geno Thorpe, Orange Lutheran High School Calif., forward Payton Banks and Germantown Academy center Julian Moore on campus next season.

Rated a three-star recruit just outside of the Rivals 150, Woodward fills the guard role Chambers desperately needed for the 2013 class. Chambers' direct recruitment of Woodward means that the Nittany Lions are getting a player that fits their needs rather than a player that fills the roster.

Woodward's quick handles and three-point shooting coupled with good court vision have drawn comparisons to former Nittany Lion great Joe Crispin. Woodward also joins sophomore forward Ross Travis as the second player on the roster to hail from Minnesota.

Update: contacted Graham, Monday night for a brief reaction to his commitment:

"I'm extremely excited to join the Nittany Lion family," Graham said. "I could not be any happier with my decision. Coach Chambers and the whole coaching staff at Penn State were what ultimately helped me make my decision."

"I also liked the family atmosphere that I felt, throughout my visit to State College. I'm really looking forward to next year and all that is in store for Penn State Basketball!"
