Penn State Football: Blue White Game Set for 1:30 Kick On April 12, Autograph Session Returns
The football season might still be months away, but Penn State fans can get an early look at the Nittany Lions at the annual Blue-White game set for April 12.
Blue-White Game kickoff is set for 1:30 p.m. and will be the first chance Penn State fans will have to see a James Franklin-run program as the Nittany Lions wrap up a 15-practice long spring session.
The game will air on the Penn State Sports Network. As per usual, there will be no admission or parking fee for the Blue-White Game. Stadium parking lots will open at 8:00 a.m. The times for stadium gate openings for the fans will be announced in March according to the university.
The popular autograph session with the team returns to Beaver Stadium and will be held in the late morning prior to the Blue-White Game presented by AAA. The time for the autograph session on April 12 will be announced sometime in March.
Additionally, the 5th Annual Paterno Family Beaver Stadium Run/Family Fun Walk to benefit Special Olympics Pennsylvania is set for Sunday, April 13. Participants will finish at the 50-yard line in Beaver Stadium after completing a three mile run or one mile walk. For more information, go to: specialolympicspa.org/beaver-stadium-run
The 2012 scrimmage drew an estimated 60,000 fans, the nation's third-highest spring football game attendance. The Blue-White Game attracted a crowd of over 70,000 from 2007-09, topped by 76,500 at the 2009 contest.
