"What'd you get?"
That's a popular question this weekend.
With hundreds of ArtsFest vendors lining the streets of State College and campus for the sidewalk sale, there's plenty of art, furniture, and more available for festival-goers to purchase.
We hit the streets to ask people what they chose to bring home from ArtsFest this year, and the responses ranged from new pieces of living room furniture to paintings to the unique oddities that make the festival so special.
"I always try and bring home a couple trinkets," Alexis Palmieri says. "I've gotten some bigger things here before, but I have a pretty good collection through the years. I haven't quite found something just yet this year, but I have my eye on a few of the booths."
Contrary to Palmieri, plenty of people have found their special something to bring home from this year's festival. One woman was walking down the street with a broom in her hand, which might seem odd on just about any other weekend.
"Apparently it's a useable broom, like I can actually use it to sweep," Pamela Clark says. "I'll probably just hang it on my wall though. It has this really beautiful wood and looks more like art than a cleaning implement."
But plenty of people went the more traditional route when purchasing art at the festival.
"I got this vase yesterday that's just absolutely gorgeous," Maya Barnett says. "It will probably be a kitchen table centerpiece in my house for a long time. It just caught my eye the second I saw it."
And even more people haven't yet found something they wanted to buy this year, but have brought hime plenty of interesting items in previous years. One man says he always tries to find items related to airplanes, a hobby of his to collect. Another says he's purchased musical instruments at ArtsFest in the past.
