STATE COLLEGE —  Students of South Hills School of Business & Technology are getting ready to head out on their internships, and as part of their Job Search class, they had the opportunity to hear from Vicky Barto, director of staff development for Upstream Physical Rehab Group.

Barto has been in human resources and leadership development for more than 22 years and is a John Maxwell certified coach, speaker and trainer. She gave the students advice on how to conduct a successful job search, stressed the importance of keeping a positive mindset throughout the process and covered a few do’s and don’ts when it comes to preparing their resumes.

Barto shared that one of the greatest life lessons she has learned is that “you can only go as far as the limits you put on yourself. Release your limits.”

Job Search instructor Eleanor Martin added, “Preparing our students to be ready for interviews and internships is very important, and shows them what to expect upon graduation. Vicky is very knowledgeable and we appreciate her investing time in helping our students succeed.”
