STATE COLLEGE — Clark Service Group, a Lancaster-based food service equipment repair and installation company, is opening a State College area branch this month.
The new location, based on Reese Road in College Township, will be the company's sixth. According to a press release, it will allow Clark Service Group to expand into north-central and western Pennsylvania.
“Our team is looking forward to serving the restaurants, schools, healthcare facilities and more in the surrounding State College area," said president and CEO Glenn Clark Jr. "With four children who attended Penn State, this area holds a special place in our family’s heart.”
Clark Service Group offers "repair, maintenance and installation of hot side and cold side commercial food service equipment, beverage systems and commercial HVAC units," according to the release.
Marketing director Katie Poole said the State College branch is looking to hire several technicians and currently has no cap on how many will be hired. Clark Jr. added that the company is always looking for “passionate, smart, hardworking people to add to our growing team,” and that potential candidates should check the clarkservicegroup.com for information about open positions.
The company also has branches in Philadelphia, Wilkes-Barre, Baltimore and Tampa, Fla., in addition to its Lancaster headquarters.
Ben Budnyk, formerly owner and operator of BB Mechanical in State College, will be service manager for the new branch.
Clark Service Group was founded in 1971 as the service division of G/L Clark Associates and was purchased by Clark Jr. in 2017. Since Clark Jr. joined the company in 1991, it has grown from five technicians to more than 100 providing service in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware, Washington D.C, Virginia and Florida.
