Members of the Penn State student club Paranormal Research Society received a investigative briefing during a segment being filmed for their A&E television show 'Paranormal State.'

University Park, Pa. -- On Monday morning Ryan Buell, Eilfie Music, Sergey Poberezhny, Heather Taddy and Katrina Weidman were Penn State students. On Tuesday morning each of them could add "national TV personality" to their résumés.

Monday (Dec. 10) at 10 p.m. Eastern time the A&E television network debuted "Paranormal State," the TV show based on the students' club, the Paranormal Research Society (PRS), founded in part by Buell.

Find out more about the students online and also read synopses of upcoming episodes. The premiere, titled "Sixth Sense," follows the PRS students as they meet Matthew, a boy who sees dead people. A&E's synopsis continues, "Matthew's story strikes a chord with Ryan - who also experienced paranormal activity as a child. Ryan investigates, and discovers that 'Timmy,' the spirit Matthew sees most often, could actually be the spirit of a neighbor who died on the property years before the family moved there. When Ryan shows Matthew a picture of the real Timmy, the boy identifies him immediately!"
