The Bald Eagle Area wrestling team came just short of winning the District 6 AAA duals at Tyrone on Feb. 3. The Eagles defeated Bellefonte 49-22, before falling to Mifflin County in the championship, 36-33.

It has been a season that has made BEA one of Centre County’s most dominant wrestling teams again, and a district title would have been the icing on the cake. But, Mifflin County picked up a large enough lead early and managed to hold on.

The loss ended Bald Eagle Area’s undefeated season.

BEA came back swinging in its dual meet at State College on Feb. 6, winning 57-18.

Dylan Bisel (182), Cooper Gilham (106), Drake Holderman (126), Alex Holt (138), Lucas Holderman (132), Seth Koleno (145) and Garrett Rigg (152) all pinned their opponents. Gage McClenahan (160) and David Close (220) also won for the Eagles.
