Bandana Bandit Receives Sentencing

Thursday, March 27, 2008 – updated: 1:51 pm EDT March 27, 2008

The man convicted in February in a series of convenience store robberies was sentenced to 22 to 45 years in state prison.

George Patton, also known to many as the Bandana Bandit, received his sentencing in Centre County Court Thursday morning.

Patton addressed the court and said that he is a lifelong drug addict, and although he didn't admit guilt, he apologized to store owners.

The jury found him guilty of seven convenience store holdups in four counties and he was acquitted of two others.
