Car Hits Teen On Bike In Somerset County

CONEMAUGH TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- A crash on Grozier Road in Conemaugh Township, Somerset County sent a teen to the hospital.Officials said the 15-year-old boy and his brother were riding their bikes down the hill on School Road in the rain and tried to cross Grozier Road.A 27-year-old driver was coming down Grozier at the same time and hit the teen, police said. His younger brother was not injured.Police do not know how fast the driver was going on the road, which has a posted 25 mph speed limit.The teen was taken to Memorial Medical Center in Johnstown. His condition has not been released. Police said he was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.Police are still investigating the crash.
