Man Found Unconscious 6 Hours After Car Crash

Thursday, October 9, 2008 – updated: 1:25 pm EDT October 9, 2008

Emergency responders use technology to find a man who disappeared after a car crash in Johnstown.

The man, who's name has not been released, was tracked by his cell phone's global positioning system.

He was trying to get home after a minor car crash when he fell 30 feet along the edge of the river behind the Johnstown Poster Advertising building.

He was knocked out for six hours, but eventually called his wife to tell her what happened. She called 911 after the call. Operators asked her if he could call them. When he did, they were able to pinpoint his exact location.

Crews then were able to pull him out of the ditch he was in.
