Troubles Arise At Smithfield Prison In Huntingdon County
More problems arose in Huntingdon County at the Smithfield State Prison.The Altoona Mirror said that seven inmates were injured in a fight early Sunday morning at the Smithfield lockup.The fight sent three of the inmates to the hospital. A prison spokeswoman said state police and internal security staff are investigating the incident.The fight started in the main yard of the prison and involved nine prisoners and they were quickly subdued by prison staff.The spokeswoman said prisoners brandished weapons fashioned from disposable razors available at the Prison's Commissary.
