AAUW Annual Used Book Sale

The 47th Annual American Association of University Women Used Book Sale will take place May 10th-13th from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. each day at the Penn State Ag Arena. Thousands of used paperback and hardback books for adults and children will be available for purchase. Proceeds from the sale will benefit grants and graduate fellowships for women, State College grant programs, and local education and library projects. Admission to the book sale is free. Centre Furnace Mansion Plant Celebration

The 13th Annual Plant Celebration will take place May 10th from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Centre Furnace Mansion. The event will feature a sale of native and non-native plants from local growers and the Centre Furnace Mansion gardens. Annuals, perennials, trees, herbs, and shrubs will be available for purchase. A silent auction of garden-related items and artwork will also be held. Proceeds from the day will contribute to the continuing development of the Centre Furnace Mansion gardens. Romantic Moonlight Walk
8:30 p.m.
Millbrook Marsh Nature Center
The walk opens at 8:30 p.m. and closes at 10:30 p.m.  Couples can walk along a candle-lit boardwalk at their own leisure.  Admission is free and no registration is required.  The walk will be cancelled in the event of bad weather.

Art Thrives On 45! Artist's Open Studio

Art Thrives On 45 will take place May 10th & 11th from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. throughout a ten county region on Route 45. Participating artists along Route 45 will have their studios open for tours and to purchase local pieces of art. Take mom out for a scenic drive and a day of local art shopping on Route 45 for Mother's Day!
