Memorial Day Weekend At the Pennsylvania Military Museum
The Pennsylvania Military Museum will host World War II Revisited May 24th & 25th from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Re-enactors of the 109th Regiment, 28th Infantry Division will bivouac on the grounds of the museum portraying field life in the European Theater during 1944-45. A small, tactical demonstration against German opposition is scheduled for 1 p.m. each day. A Service Canteen will take place on the grounds of the museum May 24th at 3 p.m. Dan and Galla will entertain the troops in the World War II camp with a USO style show. Boalsburg Annual Memorial Day Celebration
The Village of Boalsburg will celebrate Memorial Day on Monday, May
26th. Known as the birthplace of Memorial Day, this will be the 144th
celebration of Memorial Day in Boalsburg. The day begins with a Fun Run at 8:30
a.m. followed by the festival and the Boalsburg Fire Company's carnival. Events throughout the day
include Civil War re-enactments, military encampments, museum tours, musical
performances, exhibits, etc. The day will also feature craft sales &
vendors, and craft demonstrations such as chair caning, whittling, wood-working,
and jewelry making. The PA Military Museum will also feature pre-war and classic
